Our children must visit the natural treasures that beautify our country, including Akagera National Park. Such experiences help them grow up loving their country, understanding its unique heritage, and learning the importance of protecting the environment.
It is also a great opportunity for them to be educated on the value of wildlife and the role animals play in preserving biodiversity. We sincerely thank the management of Akagera National Park for their collaboration, as well as our school leadership for continuously supporting these holistic educational programs.

We received a short message from Eric: "Wawoooo, I have a surprise for you of a new school I established recently which is called: " PARKSIDE NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL"
Our motto is :" DREAM BIG ACHIEVE MORE"

The teachers use laptops that we brought from the Czech Republic, but the children love the PlayStation. They play FIFA, NBA and other sports and action games. The school also wants to build a basketball court, so the children will also use the basketball balls that we brought.
Children spend almost the entire day at school. They go to school to learn, but also to spend their free time. School serves as a place for education, but also for leisure activities. Sports are a natural part of children's school life, but playing computer games is a very welcome addition to their free time.

Education is a high priority for the government and society in Rwanda. State education and private schools complement each other. However, the situation is difficult for children from poor families and children with disabilities. For them, education is very difficult to achieve.
Erick took us to places where he is thinking about building a school for poor families and families who have disabled children or children raised by divorced mothers without the help of their fathers.

Me,Iva, Eric and his family we went on a trip to the west of Kigali to look at places where a new school could be built in the future.
We used the trip to discuss about our joint plans and also visited local government officials.

Iva and I didn't expect that the school, teachers, parents and village would prepare such a grand welcome for us. We thought that we would give the children gifts and talk to the school principal Erick. But the welcome was grand and big.
Musical and theatrical performances and traditional dances. The children also played a football match. Of course I played football too. But the ceremony itself at the school was big.

After a year we returned to Rwanda. Returning to Africa is always emotional. Emotions and returning are a powerful experience for everyone! For ordinary tourists, businessmen and especially for donors.
After arriving from Europe (we flew via Istanbul), we stayed in Kigali for one night, in the same small, modest hotel, out of reach of expensive hotels. The next day we set off towards Akagera to the Kayonza district. We brought a large number of gifts for the children. We also had gifts for the teachers. The meeting was spectacular! A football match, a meeting with parents and representatives of the city and school.

For the children of Kayonza, it is an experience to visit the capital, Kigali. The city is not far from the primary school. It is about a two-hour drive. The children, with some exceptions in their childhood, do not get to the capital.
I (jirkam) and Iva (ajva) were very (very!!) proud of the children for being able to visit the capital of Rwanda and the institutions where laws are prepared. Rwanda is also a very active African country with regard to opportunities for women in politics.

The return to Prague was full of emotions. We were determined to help the children in Kayonza and cooperate with Erick and his school. The school needed basic school equipment and funds to develop its facilities.
We decided to send funds for school supplies such as notebooks and notepads. It seemed like the best solution. We were very happy to see the children's enthusiasm for the gift. Education is the future for Rwandan children. It's not just a slogan / claim. It's absolutely essential for African children.

During our short stay in the capital city Kigali, we bought soccer balls and decided to return to Kayonza to visit the school and the children we had met at soccer practice a few days before.
We returned to Kayonza because we wanted to see the school that the children from the soccer training were attending. We wanted to personally give them soccer balls as a small gift. We found the school after a short time search in the village. We found a beautiful school campus and most importantly we met Eric. Eric is the school principal and a person who has spent his life helping people.
Eric showed us the school and all the school classes. He introduced us to the school program. Eric enthusiastically talked about his dreams and the future of the school. The whole meeting left a strong impression on us and we decided to help Eric and his school. Of course we gave the children gifts (soccer balls)

The first meeting with the children from Erica's school was completely random. On the way from Kigali to Akagera, while driving, we saw a local football training session a few kilometers before the national park, full of local boys and girls.
We had to stop and went to watch a football practice. We were captivated by the enthusiasm of the local children. This enthusiasm of the children is typical for the whole of Rwanda, but also Uganda and other countries in the region.
We met the local football coach and got to know the local village. The meeting left us with a great experience. We decided to return.
